MBA and M. Tech. both are master degrees however, very different from each other. MBA stands for Master in Business administration where as M. TECH. refers to Masters of Technology. MBA degree is meant for the students who aim to build up their career in Management and Business domain. It a two-year program and requires practical management knowledge and solutions. You can either opt for regular MBA or by correspondence. M. Tech. or Masters of Technology is meant for building up career in software or IT field. With the boom in IT industries the demand of M. Tech professionals has skyrocketed. M. Tech. is more suitable for students who have a graduate degree in Engineer. As you have mentioned you are an engineering student with B. Tech. degree. Hence, M. Tech. is rightly suitable for you. You can do M. Tech program. from numbers of prestigious Engineering colleges in India but if you want to get a kick start in your career then IIT colleges are exactly what you are looking for. They are considered to be the finest colleges in India for Engineering. To take admission in M. Tech in IIT you need to pass with an admission test called GATE (the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
