UK is the second most popular destination for international students, after the US, which is why every one of us want to study there to expand our knowledge base from all perspectives. When to apply It is advisable to apply in a college at least six months before the proposed start date, if not earlier. In UK, the session for majority of the courses begin in September or October, but students who have been accepted to take a higher degree by thesis may be able to begin their research at other times in the year. Each university has its own policy on this. Procedure for Application Each institution in UK has its own application form to be submitted by the candidate which can be available from the university, or can be downloaded from their site. Applications are made direct to the institution with no restriction on the number of applications which may be made to other institutions. It's better to apply to more than one institution at a same time so that if you are rejected from one, you can have other option open for you. Detailed information, such as transcripts of previous study, should be enclosed with the application form. The prospectus should also include information on application deadlines and other details. You need to clear main exams to get entry into one of the colleges in UK, which is to clear the International English Language Testing System (IELTs), which measures the ability to communicate in English across all four language skills " listening, reading, writing and speaking " for people who intend to study or work in UK.
