Russia is now a preferred destination for MBBS as it offers quality education at lower cost, unlike US and UK. The duration for MBBS course in Russia is of 6 years and the fee structure ranges from Rs 8.5 to 15 lakh, depending on the college or university you will be taking admission in. Russia is known for advanced and organized higher education system. MBBS in Russia is like a boon to Indian students as the number of students applying in medical entrance exam is comparatively higher than the seats available for them in Indian colleges. So Russia, not being an expensive destination, is the first choice for Indian students where they do not have to appear in any medical entrance test or have to give a high amount as donation. The only eligibility you need to have is a good academic background till your 10+2 and to secure at least 50 percent in PCB. To get admission in any medical college in Russia, you need to choose one college of your preference provided the college should be approved by Medical Council of India. You need to fill application form along with submitting all academic documents that are required and an approval letter from MCI, which are needed to submit in to the College as a part of admission procedure. After you are done with all the formalities of application in the college and you get offer letter from the university, the next step you need to take is to apply for the Visa. Some of the best MBBS Colleges in Russia are Russian State Medical University(Moscow), Ryazan state IP Pavlov Medical University, etc. The academic year in Russia starts from the September and lasts for ten months, more or less, till the last week of June. However, the application for admission to any study program in Russia needs to be submitted by mid May of the year. Once you complete your course from there, you need to register with medical council of India and to clear the test you need to prepare hard for it.
