However, the most important thing you need to understand before opting for one, among MCA and MBA after your graduation, is your interest and requirement. Giving a direct answer for the same is not possible. Therefore, spend some time in finding out; What is your area of interest, to work on computer applications with a strong, logical and analytical mind that are pre-requisites for a graduate in MCA or to manage a team having huge interest in business you can take up as an MBA. What are their job prospects What is the market condition for both the courses Usually, MBA offers a wider scope than MCA. Having said that, the market value of MBAs are greater than what an MCA has. But it certainly does not mean that the scope for MCA is lesser, it is just that MCA is confined to only those who have technical skills. If we compare the pay scales for both the professionals, MCAs earn better than MBAs at initial stage, until MBAs work get an opportunity to work at a high post.
