MBA is a higher specialization in any specific stream and an additional qualification to betterment your credentials. Pursuing MBA right after graduation is a better option because working for few years and then going back to school for learning becomes really difficult Though, the trend o admit young freshers was encouraged by a variety of reasons, which include; One was to motivate the dropping number of applications to full-time MBA programs A relaxation in the work requirement to attract minorities and women where recruiters used to prefer experienced and mature MBA graduates earlier. Having work experience prior to join MBA would add more value and would prove to be more helpful. Having good work experience gives you an edge over the competition. A person with a relevant work experience is considered capable enough to understand things like industry structure, code of conduct, accepted norms, current trends etc., better where a fresher may have a poor approach towards these. To hold work experience of one to two years prior to enrolling in MBA is the trend favourable in all foreign universities and also in a few Indian colleges. Above all, a person's practical experience definitely adds value to the class room discussion where they share their experiences with others and practically relate theories with industrial practices. Though having a work experience should not be made mandatory for getting enrolled in for MBA degree, but having it definitely helps in better learning.
