Institute for Media Management and Communication Studies

IMCS is much more than just an institution. It is the guiding light for the young aspirants in their search for a career in Media. The Institute aims at developing brilliant Media professionals by developing their personalities in a holistic environment. Promoters

The Institute was established by the New Delhi Communication Network Limited (NCNL) in the year 2004. NCNL is a media production house producing Audio-Visual programs for various channels for the last fifteen years. It is empanelled with Doordarshan, DAVP, NFDC, IGNOU and various Ministries of the government of India.

Affiliation

IMCS is an associated study institute of the reputed Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University for Journalism & Communication, Bhopal. The University was set up by Act Number 15 of 1990 of the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

News about IMCS

• IMCS co-organized the Pravasi Film Festival last year. It was attended by prominent personalities from around the world, such as the President of Mauritius, Sharmila Tagore, Soha Ali Khan, Meera Nair, Deepa Mehta, Basu Chaterjee, Prakash Jha, Rahul Rawail, Satish Kaushik, Manoj Bajpai, Sonali Kulkarni, etc.

• The Director of the Institute, Ms. Aarti Upadhyay has received the prestigious Dr. Sadhna International Empowerment of Women Award 2011

• IMCS alumnus Arvit Raj (in IBN-7) received the Best Editor Award from the Network 18 group.

• IMCS alumnus Puneet Kad recently joined BBC India Entertainment and underwent for a special training in Singapore.
