NISCORT is a Creative Institute that offers hands-on, engaging, effective programmes that generate knowledge and skills in Media. This is an Institute that provides Creative Media & Journalism Programmes for young people in the border of Delhi - Ghaziabad. Rationale for a National Institute:
· Media Education, particularly the training of trainers;
· Training and higher education facilities in the various fields of the media;

· Training in effective communication to those who are involved in special interest groups: development, youth, health, dialogue, labour, the marginalized and women;
· Influencing the media policies of the country and promoting and protecting the cherished values.
Our Strategies:
NISCORT
· Provides training in media and communications to all eligible candidates
· Develops and offers courses that will equip those in different fields of human services health care, education, spiritual ministries, social action, etc. with appropriate techniques and skills of effective communication
· Offers courses in different languages in different regions, taking into account the diversity of cultures and languages
· Places a high premium on the practical aspect of training by offering about 50% of the course-time for hands-on experience and field exposures, which will help in securing suitable placements to those who pass out of the Institute
· Provides financial support to a limited number of students, who are economically weak, through scholarships or subsidies
· Undertakes and publishes research projects on various issues related to the mass media and communications in the Indian context in order to contribute to media policy and public opinion
· Engages in active and creative dialogue with the centres of mass media and the Government on issues of fairness, accuracy, tolerance, harmony, peace, security of life, human rights and media policy
· Facilitates public discussion and dialogue on vital communication and media issues through seminars, forums, websites, e-bulletin, etc.
· Creates a data bank on media related topics and events and makes these accessible to others, including online access
· Produces educational materials on mass media and communications for use by families, groups, institutions and the service sectors.
Our Facilities
HOSTEL
Since NISCORT is located in a four-acre campus, it is in a position to provide hostel facilities for outstation students. At present, there are facilities to accomodate about 70 students.
LIBRARY
NISCORT has a good library with over 4000 volumes of specialized books in the field of social communications and mass media. Besides, the Institute subscribes to several periodicals, both Indian and foreign, which are specialized in communications and mass media. In addition, the library prides in hosting online database of videos and articles for students access.
COMPUTER LAB
Several computers installed with Thin Client Network connected to one common double Xeon Dual Core server have been placed at the disposal of the students and they use these facilities, within the allotted time for their assignments, for browsing the internet and even for their personal work.
INTERNET
The entire NISCORT campus is wi-fi enabled and the students have free access to the internet anywhere in the campus and even from the comfort of their rooms. The dedicated lease-line internet connectivity of 2mbps speed makes possible for high speed internet browsing.
AUDIO STUDIO
NISCORT has two well equipped audio studios for the practical training of the students. These studios are furnished with Mac Pro systems connected with Mackie multi track audio mixer, Promix and M-Audio Profire interface with Sound Track Pro, Logic Studio 9 and Pro Tools M-Powered 8.05 installed in both systems.
VIDEO STUDIO
NISCORT is proud to have a dedicated video studio furnished for a multi-cam setup with Digital AV mixers, green screen simulation, babies and muti10 lamps, seven 3 CCD cameras with dedicated tripods for practical live recording sessions. A Teleprompter to assist in the news reading is also part of the video studio.
NON-LINEAR STUDIOS
A studio with three non-linear editing systems furnished with matrox capture cards with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 package are available for the students. An i-mac lab with seven latest imacs with each one equipped with FCP 7 and a windows video lab with six non-linear video editing systems is also at the disposal of the students for their practical exercises.
