CCNP or Cisco Certified Network Professional is designed to develop the skills needed in qualifying ICT related degree and diploma programs and prepare for the CISCO CCNP certification. It validates the ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide area enterprise networks. The CCNP certification is a Cisco’s professional level networking certification. After learning this course, you would be able to install, configure and troubleshoot LAN’s and WAN’s.

It is very important to know that CCNP is a higher study of CCNA, therefore, you should first obtain CCNA certification and then you would be eligible to pass up to four CCNP exams. There are two distinct paths offered by Cisco for CCNP. In path 1, you have 4 exams while path 2 has three exams. You can take the exam in any order and you would find a mix of multiple choice, simlets, simulations etc. CCNP certification course is valid for three years and after the expiry of the exam, re-certification requires reappearing in the current exam (previously passed) or passing a higher level examination. After obtaining CCNP certification, you would be employed in an enterprise as network technician, support engineer, system or network engineer.
